Saint Patrick’s day is coming up in just a few days! Today I am going to share with you what we have planned for celebrating the feast day of Saint Patrick.
Here is what we have planned:
Books: We will be reading a couple of the books listed below and I will be using notebooking pages from Notebooking Fairy for narrations.
Patrick: Patron Saint of Ireland by Tomie De Paola
The Story of Saint Patrick’s Day by Patricia A. Pingry
Patrick: Saint of Ireland by Joyce Denham
Saint Patrick’s Day by Gail Gibson
The Story of Saint Patrick by James Janda
Craft: We will be making Holy Trinity Shamrocks from Catholic Icings
Food: We will be trying these Irish Handheld Meat Pies.
Prayers:
Saint Patrick’s Breastplate
Christ be with me, Christ within me
Christ behind me, Christ before me
Christ beside me, Christ to win me
Christ to comfort me and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger
Christ in hearts of all that love me
Christ in the mouth of friend or stranger.
God our Father,
you sent Saint Patrick to preach your glory to the people of Ireland.
By the help of his prayers,
may all Christians proclaim your love to all men.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever. Amen
I have made copywork sheets of Saint Patrick’s Breastplate prayer and a Saint Patrick’s Day card. Both are available as a FREE download in the Subscribers Hollow page, just click the link below.
